Seeing The Face Of God
Can we see the face of God and live? Lord is inviting us into a bigger experience of Him!
In Exodus 33:20-23 Moses and God are communicating in the mount, and Moses requests to See Him. Father God seems delighted in the request but is protective of Moses and lets him know that ‘no man can see my face and live.’ God was/is Righteous.
So God gives Moses instructions which is so symbolic for us in Christ Jesus. Father God tells Moses that He will have him stand on the Rock and in the cleft of the rock, and He will cover him in His hand as He passes by him, and then God will take His hand away so Moses can see His glory on His back side.
I love the conversation God and Moses has! Communication with God is a Must! So through the Righteousness of Jesus Christ, in His Blood Covenant, Father God is able to give us His Gift of Himself of His Word made flesh and His Holy Spirit so that we can have communion… conversation and fellowship.
But can we see God’s face? In Exodus 33:11 states that LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. Yet, it wasn’t His face Moses saw as He talked to Him, but rather His glory and the expression of the burning bush that didn’t burn up. So amazing to dive into the conversation they had and how God ‘proclaimed His NAME’ which is a huge revelation to look into here. That NAME above All Names… and He gave Jesus The NAME above All Names… His Own Name in His Name. Divine Nature. This is what He wants for us to step into with Him! So Excellent!
But can we see Father’s face? So let’s look at John 6:46…
John 6:46 Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father.
Now let’s look at John 14:9-10 Jesus says that when you see me you have seen the Father. Also 1 Corinthians 13:10-12. Jesus Christ is that Perfect one that is come, and so, that which is in part is done away, and now we can see face to face… knowing Him even as also He Knows us. Awesome!
So now the Glory of the Father is in Jesus and Jesus in Him. And we can behold Him In His Glory. And in that seeing His glory be changed, but it’s actually seeing Jesus face to face that changes us. So seeing Jesus is seeing the Father in the flesh! Wow! We Can Know Him and in knowing Him it is as He knows us. Wow!
Let’s look at Matthew 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Wow. So we that are pure in heart can see God. But it doesn’t say ‘face to face’. Let’s look at being pure.
1 John 3:1-3 shows us we can be pure in Christ Jesus as sons of God.
1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it know him not.
2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
And then verses 4-6 shows us that… v6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. Holy Spirit is putting the pieces together here … see that to Know the Lord Comes By Seeing Him by Holy Spirit revealing Him in His glory to us. That moment of revelation… awakening by the Holy Spirit in His Word of Life that quickens us. So this is how we can be pure in heart and righteous in Christ Jesus after He has washed and cleansed us in His Word and Blood. His Seed in us is coming forth and birthing His Divine nature and character through us. Things are changing. His New Life is become Our New Life. Glorified.
To summarize, if we are become the righteousness of God through His Son our Savior Jesus Christ and the Lamb of God, and if the only qualification to see the Lord God is to be righteous, then yes, we can come boldly to the through of Grace and behold our Father God and hug on Him. We can have communion, conversation and fellowship. Do LIFE Together!
Jesus Christ is our Sanctification, Justification, Redemption, Reconciliation and Righteousness. That means HE HAS and IS CLEANing US UP. And Holy Spirit can bring us to the Father as long as Jesus Christ is in us and us in Him. Those that have His Holy Spirit are sons of God. Those that have Not the Spirit of Christ are none of His (Rom 8:9).
Now let’s look at Revelation 22 wherein this passage of scripture speaks of His pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. Let’s look at verses 3-4 …
Rev 22:3-4 And there shall be no more curse; but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and his servants shall serve him: 4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.
WOW! Shall See His Face AND HIS NAME shall be in their foreheads! Again, the word of God settled it. Psalm 119:85.
We have an invitation to answer. I’m in, Yes. I hope you are too.
Thank you Father God for your invitation to communion and see you face to face today, getting to know you more and more!
We Love You!
Amen.
